Country Dawn Raffle Winner!

Every 1st Birthday kiddo needs a smash cake!

My son's daycare does a raffle every September where each class donates items to create a theme basket. Luckily, his class was designated the Birthday Basket! I donated a cake to the winner, and this little guys 1st birthday called for a highflying adventure!

Tests cakes are Yummy!

The boys in my household are big fans of me trying anything new in the cake department, that means test cakes! This was the test cake for my first Chocolate Marshmallow Fondant cake I did, turned out great!

Thomas the Train

When you need to feed a large group, a replica of the actual character (Thomas) may not be the way to go, there are always ways to create the perfect landscape backdrop for any add on trinket!

Huskies

I am surprised this cake made it out of my house in one piece, it was made for a family members birthday, but my husband is a huge Oregon Ducks fan, it is an ongoing battle in our family! He did request a small green O on the back of the cake, which I did, and everyone found it humerous. All in good fun!

Princess Overload!

The "Blue Princess" as my niece called her was for her 2nd birthday, her friend Kaylee fell in love with the cake and wanted a "Pink Princess" Who am I do deny little girls of a princess cake!

Cinderella was for a 3rd birthday, both base garden and carriage are white cake with Marshmallow fondant.

Handy Manny Birthday!

Every little boy needs Handy Manny cake! Connor is no different in his love for Manny and the tools!

Doug and Traci 1.1.11

I was honored to make this wedding cake for my dad and his new wife. They rang in the new year with a bang, and we all enjoyed this 3 tier, Chocolate Vanilla Marble cake covered in Chocolate Marshmallow Fondant and Vanilla Buttercream swirls. I love that this cake was so out of the box!

Kristine and Andy 10.3.10

3 tier square wedding cake, bottom layer Chocolate with chocolate mousse filling, middle and top tier Lemon with Raspberry preserve filling, covered in Marshmallow Fondant and fresh Autumn flowers!

Chad's 2nd Birthday

My son is OBSESSED with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so what better way to celebrate his 2nd birthday than with the Cluhbouse of course! The bottom round cake and the base of the clubhouse are funfetti cake covered in Marshmallow Fondant, with Rice Krispie treat ears!

Jessica and Quinton 8.7.11

My gorgeous cousin Jessica married the love of her life, Quinton in beautiful outdoor wedding at her parents home. Sure, it may have rained when we expected stiffling heat, but that didn't stop the bride and groom from having an amazing day. The sprinkles were manageable, and the cake was devoured before I could even get the entire thing cut up! I made 2 additional replica's of the bottom tier of this cake for supplement, and not a piece was left!

Wedding Shower Cake July 2010

Nothing like a "mini" version of the wedding cake to celebrate at the wedding shower! This fun and whimsical, mini, 3 tier cake of a bottom and top tier of Chocolate and middle tier of Lemon covered in Marshmallow Fondant was a hit at the shower, not a morsel left! However, the bride, groom and I decided to go a TOTALLY different, more classy look for the actual wedding cake, but it was a blast to make this version!

Frosting on a 100 degreee day....Sure, why not!

A classic 3 tier round wedding cake for a gorgeous July wedding.... that's right, July, during a heatwave, 96-100 degrees, no air conditioning... frosting + HOT weather = a stressful cake! All in all I am pleased with the outcome. Bottom tier Lemon, Middle and Top tier Cherry Chip.

Lady Bugs for a Little Bugs 1st Birthday

These are Hot Pink Vanilla Buttercream frosting covered Chocolate cakes with Lime Green Sugar coated Marshmallow Fondant spots. The baby bug was her smash cake!

Chad's 1st Birthday

My baby boy turned 1 on 8.15.09, I made this for his big blowout! The field cake is Chocolate, with the Baseball made of funfetti. I then cut the ball in half to create his "smash" cake.

Mike and Sarah

My dear friends allowed me the honor of making their wedding cake in April 2008. It was a classic 3 tier round, a layer of Chocolate, A layer of Lemon and a layer of Carrot Cake, a diverse cake for a diverse couple. I was so pleased I could be part of their special day.

6/25/05

That's right, I made my own wedding cake, people called me crazy, I called it the only option! Why pay hundreds of dollars for something I can do??? Not to mention my husbands favorite cake flavor is Funfetti , and what bakery will make a funfetti wedding cake? Yum!

Welcome

I have many people ask about seeing pictures of my cakes, so instead of limiting myself to an album on Facebook, I decided to branch out and have an entire blog!
Enjoy!
